To commemorate the celebration of World Dance Day in the Month of April 2009, a Dance recital was performed by renowned ODISSI Dancer “Padamshri Rajana Gauhar” . Two Dance recitals were organised in Yamuna Nagar. The recitals were based on Bhakti Rasa highlighting the Krishna Raas and other Krishna bhakti songs. Her interaction with the participating audience was wonderful. She also explained about various mudras. The programe was highly appreciated by one and all. SPIC MACAY Celebrates World Dance Day in the Month of April 2009



SPICMACAY organization is involved in propagating the Importance of Indian culture for a quite long time. Many big names are associated with this esteemed organization and are devoted to the said cause. A series of lectures, classical music programs, vocals as well as instrumental, have been organized in various schools and colleges. Students have shown a great zeal of interest into it and have also become a part of the organization. 

Continuing the process, this organisation is commemorating the ‘World Dance Day’ in the month of April 2009. This has been a great pleasure for us to announce that renowned ODISSI Dancer “Padamshri Rajana Gauhar” is available to give her presentations during the period. A series of dabce programs have been organised in vartious schools of Yamuna Nagar during the period. Tenatative programs shall be finalised soon with the school authoprities. 
Ms. Ranjana Gauhar founded the UTSAV Educational and Cultural Society in 1987, dedicated to imparting qualitative training and professional degrees students of Odissi. She has also produced and directed a number of professional ballets depicting contemporary and mythological themes. 
Ranjana Gauhar was honoured with the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in for the year 2007 for her contribution to the field of Odissi dance, by the President of India H.E Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil.

A qwwalli program was organised in the premises of Guru Nanak Girls College, Yamuna Nagar on behalf of SPICMACAY chapter of Yamuna Nagar. The said program was organised to pay homage to the departed soul of Late Ch Ranbir Singh Hooda, Freedom Fighter and one of the members of the constitutional assembly. A tribute was paid to the departed soul by the College Principal, Ms. Tripat Kapoor. 

 The program, as usual started with deep prajjwallan by dignitaries and visiting artists. The College anthem sung by the college students and Shabad Kirtan was also presented thereafter. 

Ustaad Ghulam Quadir Niazi was accompanied by his two sons Haider Nizami and Hasan Nizami, besides other accompanists on Tabla, Dholak, Banjo. 

 The following compositions were the main attraction of the show and was appreciated by all. They were Ae man tu Maula...., Dam Mast Kalandar...., Chap Tilak sab lino...., a punjabi tappa and a Hindi Bhajan. The compositions were melodies. The dignitaries and students were seen enjoying the show and even sung along and clapped durign teh show. Md. Abu Khan, accompanying on Tabla, played very beautifully and was highly appreciated by the audience. The program ended with a thanks note by the Chief Guest and National Anthem recital.

Sufi Qawwali

A sufi qawwali program is being organised on Dt. 02.02.2009 at GNG College , Yamuna Nagar. The program shall start at about 11.00 am. Please be seated at least 15 minutes in advance before start of the program, to avoid any incovineinces. All are invited. 

The participant artists is Ghulam Qadar Niazi. Ghulam Qadar Niazi is associated with the Dargah Hazrat Nizamuddin Aaulia and Hazrat Amir Khusro, New Delhi, as a Darbari Aastana Singer.Qadar Niazi is one of the most famous Qawwali singer in the Sufi Styles, Aastana Gayaki as well as the Modern Qawwali tradition. Trained by his late father, “Inam Ahmed Khan Mehboob Ragi”, the Qawwali Samrat.The Qawwali Samrat Award was presented by the Late President of India, Shri Giani Zail Sing. Qadar Niazi hails from the family of traditional Gharana musician and reputed Qawwal who traditionally enjoyed the patronage of Mughal Emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar. He belongs to the legendry Hapur Gharana which gave Indian Musical Giants such as Ustad Kubre Mohammad Khan, Ustad Shaadi Khan and Ustad Murad Khan. Most of his ancestor were the court Musician and they were on the top of most classical vocalist as well as Dhurpadiyas since last more than 700 years.
